15 Dec - 21 Dec, 2010 10am to 8pm Rabindranath Tagore, sobriquet Gurudev, a Bengali poet, novelist, musician, painter and playwright who reshaped Bengali literature and music is an asset to us all. His multifaceted creative skills and incessant knowledge gives us that overwhelming feel which is unmatchable. His innovativeness is a thing of beauty, a joy forever. His debut blossom which he wrote at a very young age “Jol pode pata node” is still a day to day morning rhyme practiced in kids' school which they still enjoy. His early year conception of 'Sohoj path' still help the young Bengalis learn the initial letters of their mother tongue making it easy and interesting. His poetry in translation is viewed as spiritual, and this all together with his mesmerising persona gives him a prophet like aura in the west. His inspirational words “Jodi tor daak shune keu na ashe tobe akla cholo re” was orated as a chant by the freedom fighter in gaining courage, concentration and power to fight back from our childhood. We are immensely influenced by his work, life, self and personality. His presence in our heart occupies an impeccable seat. With our minimum possible skill and ability, we have tried hard to jot down some of his transcendental influence into colourful canvasses which talks implicitly about his splendid power. In this celebration of his 150th birth centenary, We find ourselves privileged enough to pay our tribute towards his supreme soul.

This exhibition explores artistic and Indian cultural values through its SHREE YANTRA PAINTINGS
The artist found and explored her paintings by understanding India's diversity which is visible in its people, religions, climate, languages, customs, and traditions which differ from place to place within the country, but nevertheless posses a commonality.
Her spiritual paintings are very distinct from the contemporary styles and she invented herself as a believer in the spiritual harmony. She started painting to fulfill primarily her inner devotion, which ultimately led to a complete surrender for her works. Colorful designs, invariably tinged with mystic beliefs are found in her paintings. They reveal the traditional, artistic sensibility of the spiritual art.
'Binates of Form and Feel' - On View from September 20th till October 4th, 2010
People, Cities & All That ( Group Exhibition ) on View till August 23, 2010
‘People, Cities & All That’ is a group show of artists coming from various cities of India. The paintings of these artists portray either the people or the scenic beauty of different cities.
It is believed that the artist’s cultural, regional and religious upbringing has a lasting effect on his thought process and therefore, the paintings these artists create have connotations of the city and people they belong to.
Richa brings alive the view of Gwalior (her city) from the Gwalior tomb. Suchismita reveals the beauty of Kashmir through the fallen yet lively leaves. Ranjeet’s painting exemplifies the plight of child labourers, who are hailing from rural areas, in the metropolitan city of Delhi and Kareem khan gives an all together new image to Lord Buddha who meditated under the Bodhi Tree in Gaya. Similarly, every painting in this show has something to say about various cities and its people.

Artists: R S Shakya, Sharmistha Dutta, Suchismita, Daljeet Singh, Mohd. Naseem & Sandeep Passan. Nature's Solaceis a group exhibition, specially curated for summers. When people are witnessing and enduring the harshness of sun, this show reminds us of the peace and solace that mother nature provides us. All we need to do is to see the nature in totality, not just the disturbing summer days it has to offer. We must accept nature in all its forms, whether harsh, or comforting. In this way we encourage people to come out of there houses and enjoy even this "not-so-pleasant" face of nature. The paintings by different artists in this show portray various faces of natures. Whether it is magnificent sunrise or fabulous sunset, whether its is storm at sea of peace at a pond, this show captures it all.
